The AiDEX™ Lite Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS) is indicated for continuous or regular monitoring of glucose levels in subcutaneous tissue, and is used for daily detection and self-management of blood glucose levels in people 14 years or older.
It is intended for use by patients at home and in healthcare facilities. Interpretation of the AiDEX™ CGMS results should be based on the glucose trends and 2 several sequential readings over time.
The AiDEX™ CGMS also aids in the detection of episodes of hyperglycaemia and hypoglycaemia.
Measurements should not be used to make treatment adjustments, but rather as a reminder of when fingertip testing is required.
This CGMS is suitable for people with diabetes who need regular blood glucose monitoring.
The Aidex Lite Sensor which lasts 10 days and applied to your body is then mounted by the Aidex Lite Transmitter which has a 4 year lifespan. Once the transmitter is applied to the sensor there is a 60 minute warm up period. Please make sure you have the same Transmitter and Sensor models for the Aidex Lite version.
The transmitter is purchased separately and used together with this glucose sensor base. When the sensor and transmitter are activated on the user's body, it measures and stores glucose readings as well as transmitting the readings to the AiDEX™ mobile App every 5 minutes via Bluetooth. No scanning is required to obtain results.
The glucose sensor package contains a sterilised glucose sensor attached to a sensor base and a sensor applicator. The package is sterilised by gamma irradiation.
Glucose calibration is not required but is recommended if your CGM readings do not match a finger prick reading taken with a reliable Blood Glucose Meter.

Searching for a CGM , I looked at the few available in SA. Not only was this one good value for money, but also reliable with the readings. ( I calibrated it and checked often with a Blood Glucose meter)

Fantastic product
I’m astonished to see how certain lifestyle choices impact my blood sugar levels, especially stress. I now also have insight into what is going on with my blood sugar levels while I’m asleep causing me a restless night. This wouldn’t be possible without AiDEX and I’m happy that I purchased it. Inserting the sensor is not painful, however taking it off is painful as the plaster sticks like crazy.

Took a while to get
Took a while to get used to. Had to calibrate a couple of times. So far so good. Seems to be more accurate than the freestyle libre. Just a couple of connection issues with the Apple Watch.

I find the Accu Answer machine incredibly useful, but I encounter hiccups when it gives errors due to insufficient blood samples. It would be more cost-effective if we could reuse the strips, especially since using more than one on a client can become costly.
This blender is a beast! I have been using it for 1 year. Just bought a second one to keep at work.
